The Return of Avila
San Luis Obispo County locals are quite possessive of Avila Beach. When I used to live around the bend of the coastline on Indio Drive, regular visits to the beach and a kayak paddle through the surf were near mandatory weekly rituals. Even though I now live up the coast in Morro Bay, Avila remains as one of my favorite little hideaways of anywhere along the entire California coast.
